There's some known limitations about current version of PDF Plain Text Extractor.

 

1. PDF Plain Text Extractor can't handle encrypted pdf files. If you try to use PDF Plain Text Extractor on a encrypted pdf file, It will output an empty text file with one line of text "Sorry, p2t can't handle encrypted pdf files".

 

2. PDF Plain Text Extractor can't extract text in the images.

Some tools convert other document into images and then convert those images into pdf. PDF Plain Text Extractor can't handle this situation.
